For Elie Bleu’s CEO Laurent Fuchs it’s essential to keep some of the old traditions in the making of humidors, but it’s also well thought to add new innovations in the design process.
This was certainly the key reasoning during the conception of this cigar cellar, which permitted Elie Bleu to develop this modern-looking and beautiful high quality object.
The most traditional side of this cigar cellar resides in the inside, made of cedar wood, as it is well-known in this environment that it proposes a lot of suitable characteristics for the cigars’ conservation and maturing. Among them, cedar wood proposes a natural hermetic surface, and protects cigars from parasites. Also it has a natural scent very appreciated by cigars’ enthusiasts.
The marquetry is also traditionally made by Elie Bleu’s workers, who have for many of them an over 20 years’ experience. A concrete result of this knowledge in this field was the attribution in 2009 of the French living patrimonial company label, a very distinctive sign in France.
However, the modern side is the choice of the material for the marquetry, which is made of sycamore wood. It was chosen because this wood is known to be solid, hermetic and precious to reinforce the quality of this perfect humidor.
Of course there is a precise hygrometer in the cellar to control and regulate the humidity to an appropriate rate. There are also two magnetized humidifiers.
In practice, the humidor was sized so you can store until 110 cigars in the same time.
The design in itself is also modern looking as the humidor is all in black and looks very cleaned. There is also some white writing in an original font. There is pattern representing a cigar in the middle, and three little sculpted white squares under.
All characteristics of the Know-how « à la Française » are combined regarding to the art of cigar cells, and will please everyone who’s searching for a very high-quality humidor.
